OLYMPIC GOLD 2002
GOLD

As the flowing dance slid to a halt,
and the alluring music fades
Applause roared through the rafters
Pedals fall in gay parades

Flawless was their efforts
A story told of love
Her single blown kiss,
to all who watched above

Canadian pride,
overtook the stands
Taking on the world,
united were their fans

We fought
We screamed
We kicked our feet
The uproar woke the dead

Silver wasn't good enough
Until the council said…..

For on that glory day,
that history was made
The gold was coming home,
coming home to stay!
