Into the depths of mystery eyes
A tortured soul eluded of rest
Self inflicted pain from the multiple
Denied the freedom of endless sleep
Walking in the land of the living
A daily struggle of fleeting sanity
Gender the ultimate joke on reality
The hand reaches, grasping for sight
Word created fantasy the desired illusion
Understanding lessened with increased wisdom
Numbers, theories, cultures and lessons
Ever depleting the foundation of hope
The many free to wander, while
I remain imprisoned, alone
